    Any reasons to believe they are not WW2 ?

    The KVK with swords looks like it's covered with some brown paint ?

      Nothing looks out of the ordinary to me. The first one may have a Laquer covering it, giving it that shiney appearance.

      The KVK's (Tombak) are quite often a chocolate brown color.
