    New Ebay Fantasy Piece

I dunno about you people but I'm so enfatuated with Iron Crosses that I'll buy obvious fantasy pieces just for the hell of it. These little beauts are making the global rounds of Ebay so I got one, what th' heck. They're promoted as being a Polish Home Front award meant to antagonize the Germans... One piece casting and maybe the coin they used isn't even WW2 era. I'm not sure if this classifies as a fake so I'm not going to post it but, hey Moderator, how about an EK fantasy piece section? Here's a Bronx Cheer for those tireless Poles! Ausang

The really funny thing about these if they were real the local issue Polish Home Army coin would be worth considerable more than the iron cross.

It I am not mistaken they did produce a few coins (and postage stamps) the only examples I have seen are in the Home Army museum in Warsaw.

I believe the coin in question was a piece struck for the fortieth anniversary of the uprising back in 84??

Thanks Byterock for the information. Maybe this medal is a commorative one then, probably produced in 1994. Not bogus after all but certainly not WW2 era.
      Thanks again, Ausgang

No there was nothing in 94 though in 2004 there was a big celebration and an actual medal handed out if I not mistaken.

This is just a fantacy peice. Can I ask you if the coin in AL or not. Just got word from a buddy of mine that the 1984 coin was struck in AL.

        Cheers

The whole item is one piece, cast in some cheap alloy. I dropped it, it bent and when I tried to bend it back, the piece snapped off. Its so ridiculous looking that I sort of like it! ausgang
