        Exactly George,

I've always wondered what caused this.?? The dates look the same, etc.. Maybe a soft strike? Worn die?

The maker 13 used two different cores (one with swastica plateau and the other without plateau).

I think Stu W has an EK II by an unknown maker. In this Forum I read it could be a Paulmann & Crone but I'm not sure (which maker).
There are with magnetic and non-magnetic core.

My EK II (this type) has 17,8 g.

          Regards

              Stu,

Grueni is exactly right, it is a Paulmann and Crone EKII. The dates, the frame, the swasi, everything points to P&C. Here's a recent photo to compare your cross to...

              On the money, Grueni!
