    Very different L15 EK1

I know what some of you are thinking... not again... but rest assured that this EK1 is different from any of the other Floch made awards that I have seen in the forum and also different from any of the reportedly original L15 marked awards.
Notice the details in the corners of the beading, the hook, placement and length of the pin. All different from what is normally seen.

            Hello,

This one has a Souval frame and core but a FLOCH L/15 marked pin

I believe it was Peter Wiking who made the correlation between post-war Souval and Floch.

Okay, sorry guys... I just discovered the great articles by Peter Wiking on the Souval frames and Floch reproductions, so now I have finally seen another example like mine. No more comments required I guess.

It's in the Souval Cross info thread, pinned at the top of the Crosses Forum.

I do not like this cross; not original in my opinion.

May I ask why you are thinking so?

                            Stefan,

Do a forum search under "Floch Souval" and there will be some interesting reading. I would recommend that the owner of this cross post an image of the L/15 mark on the pin as there is a kind that has a "dipping 5" that will make a good discussion. After looking into this I can't make up my mind and I will wait for an authority to come in and make it clear. I think I might end up biting my tongue but I am waiting to be proved wrong on this cross. I guess it could be a Schickle but it looks so much like a Floch pin and marking.

                            http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...9&postcount=18

                            - Both marked L/15 but I don't know if either mark is different, i.e. one has a dipping "5" in the stamp. Both have a Floch type needle system so either these are post war or Floch used original Schickle hardware that was found after the war.

To show what I am talking about and why I would like to see the L/15 stamp on the cross up for discussion. The L/15 on the top in the image is a FAKE - FLOCH while the L/15 mark on the bottom of the image is from a SOUVAL - L/15 marked cross. Notice the dip in the "5" in L/15 on the BOTTOM cross.

Where does this example fit into the equation?
