    You know, I was looking at that cross with the "backward core" last night and -- whether its core is backwards or the negative is -- the frame is a fake "Schinkel B" made postwar by Souval, as far as I can tell, like this one (the EK2 version):



    These "cores" are very very thin, two piece cores with low height to the swastika and date. Here's the back of one:



    I don't have my copy of the book in front of me, but I think this is the frame and core shown on that "backwards core" example. Can someone confirm?
