    TR era Imperial EK2s

Would someone please be so kind as to reveal the ways to tell if an Imperial EK2 was produced in the TR era? I saw one that was a TR frame with an WW1 core but the ring was stamped with letters, which I thought was incorrect. I've also seen a straight up WW1 with a numbered ring!!!! Sometimes I see TR WW1 Eks on eBay or elsewhere and they LOOK right but maybe its distortion in the photo. I am very interested in getting a genuine EK2 with a TR cross shape and a WW1 core. Is there an iron clad (pardon the pun) way to tell? Thanks, Ausgang

    Ausgang,

This is all I could find on the subject in our archives, unfortunately most of the photos have been deleted over time...
