1st Pattern Spange - EK2

Please could I ask for your thoughts on this first pattern spange. It doesn't appear to conform to one of the three known types (unless I'm mistaken about this).

Not an expert on these but I think it is very believable. The wear is consistant too.

I posted all the 1st pattern's I could find in my files, which I have collected off of the forum here. I also look at Gordon Williamson's book on the EK 1939. I don't see this badge you own in the files I personally have, nor in Gordon's book. This doesn't mean that this badge didn't exist. I just don't have a file on it. I suggest you do a complete search in the forum's Crosses archives under any heading you can think of that might bring up an early 1st pattern spange. Good luck. I'm not going to say 'yes' or 'no' when I don't know. If you find something please post it here for us to see also.
