A cross from detlevs update

Hey guys,

Just looking over detlevs update today and came across this Iron cross 1st class. The thing that caught my eye was the pin set up. I was under the impression that this type of pin set up was only used on schenkel crosses?. I didn’t buy it I was just interested to know about the pin.

That is not quite accurate.

This type of hinge can be found on a number of other rarer variants including 6 rivet Deschler DK's and round 3 EK1's.

Oh - and it's 'Schinkel's'...not 'schenkel's..

I have seen this pin set up on some early, genuine crosses.
Nothing wrong with it indeed.
