German Silver components did fluctuate :
    Copper : 50.0% to 61.6%
    Zinc : 17.2% to 19.0%
    Nickel : 21.1% to 30.0%

Used as a base material because of hardness, toughness and resistance to corrosion for items that are commonly 'Silver Plated' !

All in all a very good base material. I wish all the mid to late war badges and medals had been made of this material. You don't see any zincpest on EK's.
