EKII mm 25 - Double struck?

    Hello,

I have a TR EKII that conforms in all aspects to the known authentic one in the reference section, with the exception that it has an unusual beading "flaw" on the 12 o'clock arm. This "flaw" is present on both the obverse and reverse. If you look at the vertical beading on the right side of that arm you will see that as it gets closer to the top it seems that each bead is split in two horizontally. Has anyone seen this sort of thing before?

    Four pictures to follow.

    Regards,
    Stu

Lots of 55 mm'ed EK 2s have this trait, to some degree. Can't say I've seen (or looked for) this on a "25" before.

I have three "25s". Only one of them exhibits a flaw similar to the one you are describing.

              Thanks

              Thanks for the replies guys.

              Hank,
I have had a look at a number of pictures of 55 and see a similar trait, as you mentioned.

              George,
Thanks for the picture for comparison. I see yours has the same type of flaw. I'm comfortable now with thinking mine is authentic rather than a poor copy.

              Regards,
              Stu
