Single piece EK2s?

I've been offered a very authentic looking, non magnetic TR EK2 that is of single piece construction. Anyone ever heard of one piece EK2s? Didn't think so... Opinions?

One piece Imperial EK's are not uncommon, but I would wait for feedback from others one one piece EK's from 39.

Page 52 of the "Iron cross of 1939" by Gordon Williamson shows a court mounted one piece EK2.It states the EK is struck in Zink.

Hello Ausgang,
It is possible that the cross you have been offered is a period peice as they are encountered from time to time. However without photos it will be impossible to say. I suggest you contact the person offering it to you and ask for some pictures so you can post them here. If the seller isn't forthcoming I would walk away.
