    Unmarked EK2 with Die Flaw

    Just got this salty old veteran. Once I began to examine it I found these die flaws in the ribbing (is that the correct word for this part) on the frame on both front and back. What do you pros out there think about it? Ausgang

        the closer you look, the more you'll see!
        alot of EKs have die flaws, some huge ammounts, some none. Not sure on the maker of this one though...

          Thanks Jon. Yeah, I looked at a couple of mine and saw flaws I'd never noticed before. I suppose these in particular are from a cracked die? I also suppose that die flaws indicate late war production since at that time attention to detail was understandably minimal? I also noticed that the flaw appears on both frames so I guess all the frames, front or back, were stamped from the same die... Thanks, Ausgang
