    My cased DK

    Do you like my DK?

It's a bautiful example marked 134 with 4 hollow rivets, pratically perfect and unworn with the only eception on a very small enamle chip on the swastika.

Unfortunatelly this beautiful decoration was very fragile and it's quite common to find examples with the same little damage.

I was in doubt about having it repaired by someone expert but than I decided to leave it as it is, respecting its story.

    Do you agree?

    Cheers

I would leave the cross as it look right now...
This is a very discuss thread, to repeare it or not to repare it. It is like Shakespeare' to be or not to be.

            Thanks everybody for your reply!
I'll definitly leave the DK untouched.

I did the mistake once luckly on a common EK2 and I was not feeling happy until I gave it away and replaced with another one!
The decorations are too me more beautiful when they shows their ages and their story!

                  Best left alone

I agree...repairs are bad karma, especially on enamel work.

Just out of curiousity, did the damage occur before or after you actually bought the piece?

Here is a pic showing the originality!
As you see the damage was already there at the time I purchased the DK.

                        Frank,,
                        Don't touch it!

If you did it wouldn't match the picture on your certificate!!
