Looks ok from here. Marking "4" would be Steinhauer & L******252;ck Ludenscheid.

              Franki.
Below the needle hook is a L/16 mark i think.

The frame probably split open because the L/16 was added.

Just look at the deformation where the mark has been struck, adding mm's is very popular at the moment.

                        Regards,
                        Ben

                          I totally agree.
I see too many unmarked EK1's and EK2's stamped lately with the right numbers.
                          Maybauers, B.H. Mayers, L55's, Jucker....etc.etc.

Here is another IMO postwar stamped L/16 on a mm4.

i dont think its post war stamped, the guy i got it off knew nothing about eks and had it passed down to him ,also got it quite cheap from him cheaper than an unmarked piece, also the arms at the sides seem to have been bent backwards this also could have been the cause for the coming away as its slightly apart at top aswell, well thats my guess cheers dave

                              Dave,

If you feel comfortable with it, it's fine to me.
                              But not for my collection.
Your pictures aren't very good to make a good judgement.
But if I look at another example wich I had the chance to study,
You can see the deformation at the front and side
                              Here some more pic's
