EK 2 Spange with two prongs

    Hi!

I don't know much about Wiederholungsspangen. My information is that only the "Prinzengröße" has two prongs and the normal pieces have in every case four prongs.
I collectorfriend buyed a deduction directly from the family and the "normal" EK 2 Spange has only two prongs. It was still on the ribbon.
    The reverse Setup looks modificated?!

I am grateful for each assistance!!

    Regards
    Andreas

This is not correct. There are full size examples with two prongs.

There are also prinzen-size spanges with four prongs.

            Hi,
            looks like a good one
prongs look definately a 'conversion' of some sort. Never seen a set-up like that, but also looks period... I'd say a very nice spange, nice ribbon, unusual prongs
contact me if it's for sale
            regards

              Hi Andreas
I'm so sorry, but I have to go back on what I originally said... IMO this spange is a repro. An early one, and a common one. It's fooled many over the years, and obviously still fooling! It has the repro's dates, and flat right wing we 'always' look for. Sorry I didn't see it before, I was blinded by the reverse set-up
I'm sure others will agree now I've exposed it
              regards
              jon
