This is what Iam trying to match up...Does anyone know of another LW Pilot whom would hold the same grouping. He is long dead and family name is not the source. The foriegn cross is the Aeronautical Merit of Romania, mine has 2 clasps to it.DKIG can be seen in lower corner of Pilots Foto. I have been painfully researching this for awhile and can note that foriegn awards won by LW aces, well, not a lot of info out there. I have phased out all other suspects and have ended up with the pilot pictured above...If anyone has any other pilots with the same type of grouping please let me know.

I don't know much about Romanian Aeronautica awards, but the one pilot is wearing is a pinback and the other from the grouping is on a ribbon.Comment

IMO he is in fact wearing a cross hanging from a ribbon, from the pocket, but as the picture is too dark, the ribbon can´t be seen.Originally posted by Alikn View PostComment

Yes Ludwig. I had another foto of a German Pilot wearing a ROmanian Order (forget which one, Micheal the Brave I believe) He was wearing it in the same fashion as you describe. The ribbon was under the pocket.

I just edited my post Peter, but on blowing up the pic it sure looks as if it could be a Bomber Clasp even !!!! Look at the light tint and shade, it's rather broad for an 'arrow' by my reckoning.Comment
