      These little swords above the cross look like royal yugoslav lapel badge for reserve officers school. Were they found with the cross?

        I cant tell if the cross is real(pics wont enlarge) but ive dug several zink items that while in reasonably poor condition certainly havent turned to dust.
        Corroded ,yes but still retain their integrity and it all depends on the soil,moisture,acidity,sand content etc.Both German and Poland soils are good at preserving items.

        Check out the buckle forum and the thread"SS officer buckle ,real or fake"(started by Cossak1648) and check out the ground dug original buckle.This is a zinker and and is original.Yes,its corroded with lots of zinkpest but its hardly a crumbling pile of dust.
        Its identical to mine that i dug in poland in the late 90,s.

              Are you sure it is zink? The locations where the reverse set ups are don't have base plates like you usually find on zink badges/awards.
