Here's another Souval that came up this morning on Detlev's site with the second type pin assembly in the pin assortment, page 1...

This looks like a '23' core, up on a 'platform'..?

              Sorry Stefan ,

It DOES have the Orth pin assembly. Perhaps it has the Orth core, and produced by Orth using a Souval frame. Just speculation. It's one of those 'late-war' pieces made up from all sorts of parts.

Sorry to step on your feet so hard. All I could see before was Souval. Hadn't had my morning coffee yet.

Stay cool Robert, theres nothing you should feel sorry for.

The connection between Souval and Orth for sure is one of the most interesting fields within the EK1 "sector" and i think it is nearly impossible to prove who of these two firm made which cross/parts.
I know about one variant that sometimes is marked L/14 and that exactly looks like the cross in question. If i remember right franki already posted a L/14 marked cross a while back.

I belive Orth never did make any parts to his EK´s, he got them from other firm´s.
