Steve, this is why I buy in quantity. Three crosses was a small order. I'm not a rich man, but I know that I need to save on shipping so I have them hold items for me until I have a few, then pay. I just bought (11) EKII's from another dealer this way. It saves on shipping.

Not a bad idea, but I refuse to wait. My point is I have bought many items on estand and through connections from Germany and the postage for the same items or moire was always just a few Euros. I was saying to myself that Mr. Weitze's prices were actually very good, but if the shipping is too high it off sets it. I'm contacting them now and sorting it out.

The company is a wonderful group of people, especially Kay, who are eager to work with people. Recently I bought these three crosses, and they asked me if I still wanted the 1st Class Spange I had on hold. I had totally forgotten about it, but they were kind enough to keep it on hold for me. It must have been at least (45) days. I was sure that I had gone beyond my boundries in forgetting, but they were so polite about it. I like shopping with them. Good team of people for sure.

              Wonderfull collection, Robert.
              Just gorgeous!!

About Weitze his shipping prices, they are indeed high. Even for us, who live in Europe.
Phillip Militaria for example is more modest in his shipping prices.
But Weitze did indeed have some beautiful EK's in the past weeks.
But it seems they are all in Robert's collection now

That is a good idea to ship several lots of buys all at once. Weitze had some superior items a few weeks back. I have always had very good dealing with him. Thank you for sharing your EK Collection with us Robert.

I found this wonderful messege in my mailbox today!!

                  Dear Mr. Ellis,
We are sorry, that we have to contact you again. We have had a problem here and
would like to tell you. We had 2 pieces with the same ordernumber and one was
sold to another customer and the other one was picked up for you. The first one
the invoice was written for and so we can see that the piece is booked out and
sold and when we check the piece which is on hold for you it was wrong marked
and it is the cataloguenumber 90193
Eisernes Kreuz 1939 2. Klasse am Band , Hersteller im Ring: 100, Zustand 2+
                  100,--

If you could be interested in this piece as well we would like to send it to you
and you will not be charged for the higher price.
We are very sorry and look forward to your reply.
                  Best regards,
                  Kay Max Brueggemann

Wow, strange that, after reading this thread i contacted these guys about a piece on their site & 24 hours later....still no reply. Funny how we can have such different experiences with the same dealer!

Mr. Ellis and Mr. Pierce. Obviously a SNAFU and the only logical thing to do is .... send it to me instead. I'll hold onto it until this is resolved

The email on the web site does not respond so quick. I have Andreas Dorns email and his responses are very quick. I settled the shipping thing. I was quoted for 2 EK's 9 Euros registered letter with some insurance. The higher quote was for Fed Ex in 2 days, 19 Euros. So 9 Euros is not too bad I guess. The thing is, I was able to get 2 maker marked 1914 EK2's for 38 Euro each. That's pretty good especially when you can hardly get that price on the estand anymore. Alot of sellers are asking 45-50 Euros, with some going even higher like 75-80 dollars. It's a sad day when a dealer beats the estand hands down for pricing. By the way, I splurged and paid the extra Fed Ex charge because I am sick of waiting weeks for my stuff to arrive. Still works out to less than 50 Euro apiece. He has some good deals on 1939 EK2's also. Some nice unmarked for 75 Euro, and marked a little more. Pretty good when you consider the increasingly high prices some people are asking for 39 Ek2's on the Estand these days. People asking for anywhere from $150- $200 bucks sometimes. No wonder I'm sticking to 1914's. It's the only thing I can afford! And I have to go to a dealer for those prices!

That sounds great Steve, their prices are good, have tried to buy before but always too late. Anyway, i've bought what i wanted off the e-stand (cased 1939 EK I) for about the same price but with free registered shipping, so it's their loss i guess for not replying to their customers quicker.

Like I said before, I ordered it on the 9th of March. If you snooze, you lose. I search the sites daily hoping for new pieces to be dropped in prematurely before the updates. Most sites have their normal updates, but sometimes they trick us and drop them in unexpectedly.
