Bullion WSC 1st Class With Swords

This is a rather worn example of the War Service Cross 1st Class With Swords in bullion.

I have never seen another one and would like to get your opinions and comments.

    What do you think?

Piques the interest, for sure! Any history or story behind it?

          Hank,

Nothing in the way of history or a story.

I found it at the SOS five or six years ago, and since I had never seen one before, I was happuy to get it.

          What do you think?

          Best regards,

WOW...................... That is quite interesting. Have never seen a bullion version of the KVK before. Very intriguing !!!! Good luck on your investigation.

              Hi
there has been a couple shown here in the last few years. Do a search on this forum. All 3 have been of different construction, which is good news, but I don't think anything solid was agreed...

I'm inclined to think they have a good chance to be original because there seem to be so few in existence. I would think there would be a fair number of them floating around if someone was reproducing them (IMHO).

                        Provenance of some kind......

I would require provenance of some kind. Photo in wear. I've been collecting since 1952, and never even heard of one of these. My money would never be spent on one of these ! IMO, guilty until proven innocent ! Tom

Does no-one else have a problem with the quality of the bullionwork or the shape of the swas of the example in post#1?
