    10 Rivet-6 Rivet Deschler DKG

For the interest of the forum members DKG in gold 10 and 6 Rivet pieces...
Needles to say the 10 rivet one is extremely rare.

The set ups for the 10 and 6 rivet Deschler DKS's are the same, except for the number of rivets of course. Other styles are very suspicious IMO...

The pics are not yet cold and the're already on the forum.

If this is not service towards the collecting community, nothing is.

Great pieces Pieter, whereas the early Deschler 6 rivet with the distinctive short pin is already difficult to find, the 10 rivet piece is almost unseen.

Thank you for your comment Denis,....a winter campain medal would of course result in a 12 page threat reply ....but we are used to this situation no?

                Dear Pieter,

                what i am curious about:

Do you know wheather your 10 rivet cross was awarded before your 6 rivet DKiG?

Are the cases original to the cross?

                KR,

                Stef

                      Now that's just rude!

Very nice Peter and you're right, I think this is the second ten-rivet I have seen since being a member here; very rare! Congrats! Close up PICS??

Here's my six-rivet Deschler and the quality is superb on these early pieces.

Those 10-rivet crosses tend to have been produced during the very first weeks after the institution of the DK.
Some time ago i had the chance to inspect a RK group to a Luftwaffe Offizier who earned the DKiG in December of 1941. The group already contained a 6 rivet Deschler that was stored in the small box.

                            Stefan,

I own a Heer Officer DKiG group awarded in May 1942 and I know of a Luftwaffe Officer DKiG group awarded in March 1942. Both groups have a cased 6-rivet Deschler DKiG.
