Just realised that the silver line on the rim of the case seems to look more gold in these shots.

Perhaps it is the background, or the lighting, or perhaps the photogrpher, so I took a shot of the case with a case from a Gold German Cross for comparison.

The shot does not clearly indicate the color difference as can be seen when the cases are in hand.

Nonetheless, here is the comparison shot with the silver case on the top of the gold case.

A stunningly beautiful and text book Zimmermann light DKiS. The hinge, pin and catch are exactly as one would expect, and the details in the wreath aside, the grey coloured star burst exhibits the classic Zimmermann light 'flaw' in the 11 o'clock position. The case looks good to me as well, but I am far from being an expert on cases, (post in the cases and packets forum for a definitive answer on the case).

Very, very nice. Congratualtions on a super DK.
