George, I have hopefully not made this thread into anything about any individual, and indeed stated in one of my earlier posts that 'My sincere hope and wish here is that we can examine the data presented and scrutinise it without involving 'personalities' or 'past historys', for lack of a better expression'

However, if inadvertantly I have brought personalities into this discussion please accept my apologies. This most certainly wasn't my intention, that simply being to further a debate on the DK as originally posted in this thread.

My Dk has a drop on 9 hours but it has no other attributes of a fake

One of the objectives, I believe, of this thread is not only to look at the DK which started this discussion off, but to also look at the whole question of the light Junckers version of the DK. There is a suspcion in some quarters that the light Juncker DKs are not actual wartime pieces.

So in answer to Cook, is your DKs the light or the heavy version? Is there any chance of you posting some scans / photos of it in this thread for comparision ?

I just checked my unmarked Juncker that was awarded in early 1942. It weights 63,8g and has the same hinge/pin setup as cook's. If necessary i can provide pictures of whatever detail. Since i am no a.m. any more i can only send them to the email account of another member who may post the pictures.
