Newly aquired EK2.. Original?

Believe this to be a Maria Schenkl EK2? Am I correct or way off?

That is indeed a original Maria Schenkl EK 2 - altough unmarked. The picture does not show the beauty of this one for sure.

Why would you doubt originality?

Can anyone post a pic of another Maria/Anton Schenkl like this one please? I'm not disputing those more learned than myself but I'm struggling to see the similarities between this cross, the '27' on the EK homepage and the results a search threw up. It would be useful to learn them.

Let me see if I can find mine that is marked, to be honest I don't know if the cross is a 27 or not - I'm not that familar with crosses.

Hello Guys,


Do not hold off, this cross was bought from me togheter with the award document, picture from the holder and a paper packet (in wich the cross was tucked) and came directly from the veterans family. No other awards or things have popped up on that end.

Thats why i assumed the cross was a Maria Shenkl, however i can be mistaking on that. Iff the cross is then not a Maria Schenkl => wich producer is it?

It would appear that I have just purchased, purely by chance, a cross by the same maker from Ben on the e-stand.

The cores are a match, note the '1' on the 1939, it looks like it is slightly bent and also the small swastika. There is also a 'larger' bead on the top of the 12 o'clock arm that both crosses seem to have.

Don't worry Stijn! The grouping will not be split up as long as I am the owner (and I plan to be for a long long time!)
