Does anybody own a "8" marked EK1 or EK2?

Did Hoffstadter mark any crosses with an 8? I've only seen L/19 marked crosses. If you find one marked 8, I would love to see it.Comment

There's a one-piece EKII '8' on eBay that doesn't look good in the photos he provided (sent). He bought it at a gunshow recently and is selling it off on ebay.

I have never seen one! But somebody did put one EK2 into the EK2-statistics. And now this one on E-bay. However those could either be fakes or 'misreads'Comment

That ebay is not a 8, the L/19 has a very odd date 1939. And most times the Ek2 has the same core but not always.

The eBay seller of this EK has been writing me for more information about his EK. He understands that it's a fake, and has real regrets selling it now on eBay knowing it's a fake. I gave him the forums site to visit and learn something about the EK family, and our community of collectors. I respect him. He keeps writing and asking what to do about letting the auction end. I think we might have a new member joining our ranks soon. His name is Lau.
