    26 EK1 - Double Marked (26, 26)

Just wondered if anyone has seen a 26 marked twice before, as per the one below?

    Thanks for looking.

    All the best,
    Toby.

Wow, now that's sweet. Someone playing some tricks on a FRiday afternoon? Great piece.

Guess the guy must have been distracted whilst punching the mm.

Here's a closer pic as well as an obverse shot.

      Best,
      Toby.

Obverse; alas, a bit of corrosion. Still nice though.

This is a great find. If you ever decide to sale this cross, I don't think you will have any problem selling it because it is quite a unique cross. I've seen a cross marked i.e. L/18, 26 before, and quite a few marked 20, L52 or 4, L16, but I don't recall ever seeing one double marked the same. If anyone else has any crosses marked like this I would love to see them. Once again, great find!

This is an example of how even common grass items as EK1's are can yeld unique and interesting pieces.

Nice find, don't think I have ever seen that before.

                  Ek1 Double Marked #26

                  Hi Toby
First I've see double marked ek1 same mm.on pin. However this is possible look at my ek2 double stamped on ring maker marked #27 same side, and the second one mm #65 marked on opposite sides of ring. Nothing would suprise me. Rarer piece IMO not seen often.
