Ek II Zimmermann or not ?

Hi all. I wanted to ask what you make of this cross. The bedding looks a little fater like an mm6 cross .The outer corner also looks like mm6.But the 1939 does not look like the like on mm6, mutch thinner numbers at this cross then on mm6.I also think the swastika looks a bit "sharper" then on mm6. The year 1813 looks about the same, mabe a bit thinner. Would you say this is an unmarked mm6 or from an other maker ?? I think it is an zimmermann cross.

      Hi Mikael.
Nice original cross but not a Zimmermann.

IMO, this is exactly a Fritz Zimmermann frame. I agree with you, the dates and swasi are different. The texture and finish of the core look the same as an original '6' cross. I'll take a photo of my '6' in a few to compare.

Thank you for input lads ! A verry nice mm6 cross Robert, i might be able to sques her in.. I did an second look at the other mm6 i got and they seems to vary a bit in the look of the numbers, mabe the thikness of the finnish plays an roll here.

                  Mikael,

If you will, I believe these crosses have two different cores. There is just too much variation in the numbers and the swasi to call them the same. I might be mistaken, but this is my opinion.
And I just don't remember seeing any other maker with such 'fat' beading as your example and mine. I don't know if F. Zimmermann made any variants or not, so I can't be of any help there. The frame still looks like one of his.

Robert:Thanks for posting a comparision. I agree with Robert same frame different core look at the bottom of the 3 in 1939 I think tells the story.

Thanks for pics Rick. I was browsing your thread of Ek 2 list. The closest core i found from what i could see was on your doubble-marked mm / 27cross i belive. At least when come to the numbers.
