Hi All...
I just picked up this rather salty unmarked EKII recently (heavily tarnished, dusty and showing it's age... just how I like them!!), and I'm puzzled as to its maker. My eyes are blurring from staring at pictures of different marked EK's!!
It has quite a distinctive frame and on first glance, the cornices look similar to those on a Souval frame, but this is just an illusion given by wear to the beading. The inner corners too are unusual. It also has many heavy die flaws, especially on the 3 o'clock arm (a verticle flaw running almost its full length). The core is in good condition (under all the dirt!) with some very minor paint cracks. The swastika is the pyrimidal type (spelling??) while the 1813 date seems a little 'finer' than the 1939.
I hope some of you can help me identify this one.
Thanks for looking.
Regards - Danny
