I thought you gents might like to see a nice pic of Haupt. Moelders, in the period immediately after winning his Knights cross..private pic found recently in a Luftwaffe bomber squadron photo album...

update!! thanks to fellow members, they state this in fact, NOT Werner Moelders..writing on back could perhaps tell us..can you tell?

It looks like the first letter is M, i thought that the second symbol was the sutterlin for oe and i think that the last letter is s, how it would look at the end of a sentence..

Yes Thomas,..this would appear to be our man..

Won the RK as a Lt., flugzeugfuhrer 8/5/40 1.Stuka Geschwader 1

Was the 463 recipient of the oakleaves to his RK 25th april 1944
Won as a major (Kommandeur) 1./Stuka Geschwader 5.

This would also fit in as there are some nice Stuka pics in the Photo album..it seems he was a competent tank buster with 60+ kills to his credit..

I believe that the gentleman who took the pic spelled his name wrong on the back...There is only one man (as far as i can see..) in the Luftwaffe ,in that time period, with that rank (it looks like he was promoted..) with that name spelling (or close to it..)

Who also flew stukas..who won a RK..

Möbus grave

Hi guys,
found this interesting grave photo when browsing Finnish Lapland War photos in SA-kuva.fi site.Just thought might be interesting for someone to see how nicely this grave is decorated.He was killed in car accident but I didnt find any details.Maybe someone has some details for this car crash.And maybe the gravemark still exists.Any thoghts.Enjoy
