This link shows all the pionier RKTs........only a few Unteroffizier are shown. The field is narrowed right down.

    I think this is an early-ish cross........1941-43.

A very nice piece in my opinion, and one which I hope no-one will seek to cast doubts on.

This is not about casting doubts, this is about established facts. From the pictures I'm sure to see the trademark of the dent row at the lower ingoing arm. This means it is a B-Type.

        Glad to hear it!

I just begin to get palpitations when I hear mention of non-magnetic cores, microgrammes, die flaws, etc. etc..........

          Dion,

are the little dots on the ingoing 3 o'clock arm reflections or are they small little dents? On both sides?

Is it not better to simply ask Dion if he can see the dents with his own eyes?

Depends on how much Dion had to drink last night

Its hard to see in here Dietrich, I seem to recognize dots on the outer 3 oclock arm by the knee area, but cannot see them in the inner core area, some patina in there.

                      The question is this:

Are there about max. 11 dots on the ingoing 3 o'clock arm, starting from the outside, on both sides? With a loup you should actually be able to see and count them...

Thats the problem Dietrich, I just stopped into my old place to rest a bit. My loup is at the Fraus. I will be back there at 700 this evening and will go over it with my loup. Abot 2 and a half hours. The light in here is really bad, its like doomsday with this storm.

This is the correct area Dietrich? Outer arm and inner core ?

Is there any provenance associated with this piece?

                                Yes.

I really don't want to make this immensly complicated. The one and only question is this:

The black dots on the attached picture, are those reflections or dents. And if those are dents, are they on both sides.
