War Merit Cross opinions ?

Hello,

I picked this unmarked War Merit Cross up from a WWII Veteran and I was wondering if it was original or not. It looks good when I compare it to others on the forum however, I would appreciate any help since I am out of my league here. Also if someone might be able to give me a ballpark value for trading purposes that would help to.

Looks good to me. Not the most valuable piece. If you sold it I suppose it'd fetch around $40 I'd personally keep it as a starter for your grandchildren
