Have to agree with Mikael. If you look at the first image you posted, the diagonal lines differ slightly, the '2' has a curve, the '4' is straight. If you can visualise the top of the '2' is missing and the bottom of the '4' is also missing.
Can you see the '4' now in your stamp looking at this photo? It's a first for me to see the '0' before the number '24'. The firm usually placed this on the small suspension loop that's soldered to the silver frame, along with other 'curiosities' like a very small acorn or an arrow-shaped stamp. Your is very interesting, unusual.
This little 'arrowhead' marking appears on two out of three of my wide-frame '24' examples. Your guess on what it stands for. Maybe he watched Roy Rogers or Gene Autrey or something.
