    EK II Unmarked Wartime Souval?

Opinions please. This piece is unmarked. Ring is soldered. Looks like a wartime unmarked Souval to me but my area is Imperial. Has the 'rising' 1813 on the reverse. Hate to throw it out if it is a genuine wartime piece. Thanks in advance, Steve

Looks like a Souval to me also, but someone who knows more than me will be along in a little while.....

That doesn't look like a Souval. It IS a Souval. That is one of the nicest crosses I have seen. Absolutely stunning

Thanks guys for the opinions. I am fairly certain it is a Souval by the corner flaw, the corner ridge, the soft inset corners and the unsoldered eyelet. But it appears to me to meet all the criteria for a wartime unmarked Souval. Other opinions welcome as to wartime or not. Thanks, Steve

here's another one - if this one is a Souval, too, did Rudi have a few variations of his swasi? the one on mine looks a little more "edgier", don't yall think?

Peter Wiking's great article that is pinned above shows several swaz variations. Loks like a Souval also. Is it marked or unmarked? Steve

Steve - it's an unmarked piece... Sneaky Rudi obviously sold his frames to numerous places...

                        Rainer,

Looks like a Souval wartime to me. Both of our crosses meet the criteria in Peter's article. Interesting. Thanks for posting yours. Steve

Steve - Absolutely! Mine even has the unsoldered Ring (shown on paage 13 of the article), - Excellent Work, Peter - a nice thesis from the Virtual Militaria University (VMU), I'm on the search for other ones, will post them as soon I get another one in.
                          Later yall
