    RK neusilber L/12

    Hi all,
The frame of this cross looks like neusilber to me.It was once frosted, now only the residue remains.Under the eyelet is L/12.
The core is iron and unfortunately the suspension loop is missing.Does anyone recognise this type of cross?
    Cheers Franco

              Hi,
Yes it does except for the frosting. What details(if any) do you have for that cross.
              Cheers

No matter what it is in the end - for sure it's not a Juncker and no other pre-45 manufacturer.

                  Hi,
Yes its probably a 1950s/60s replacement piece.
                  Cheers

Franco, this thread is heading the way that your '57 RK thread went....these are REPRODUCTIONS, FAKES, IMMITATIONS, COMMERCIAL offerings to fleece you and others of your $$.

They have no 'history' or 'period' value.....mass-produced trinkets.

They are NOT 50's - 60's replacement anything.
                    Regards,
                    Dave

                      Hi,
Yes I take the point you are making.I was implying that a veteran who lost his cross at the end of the war and wanted a replacement, might well have bought a cross such as this.
My reason for placing it in the 50s/60s time bracket is due to its obvious age.Thats all.
                      Cheers

Franco, this is an 80's reproduction...available in UK from a dealer named Moregi (sp?) for $150. or $160 (aged)!
                        Regards,
                        Dave

Sure does look like one.and they cost a lot more than what I paid. But afterall, mine is missing its loop.
                            Cheers

If you want a good display piece go for a nice postwar S&L. Because those are at least real RKs that don't cost $10K (but not wartime issue).
