      Hello

I'm not sure on this one as I have never owned, handled or indeed seen an L/13 marked bar outside of a reference book. However, below is a link to one featured on the forum reference. This will give you something to compare with.

      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/iron...nge/spange.htm

The pin / hinge setup on the featured one looks like an early style pin / hinge although the bar itself is a 2nd pattern. I can only assume that they used up old stock and pressumably also used different pins / hinges on later versions. Beyond that lets hope some of the bar experts see this and chime in.

      Regards
      David

Looks like a perfectly fine, slightly rusty Meybauer to me Mac!

yeah, looks good to me also
L/13s are pretty hard to find, this isn't what I'd call the normal pin set-up, but I have seen this pin, on earlier ones (like this)
If you don't go for it, let me know, I'll have it!
          regards

I think this was discussed here reently. I've a feeling it was on the estand too.
I could be wrong, and I hope other members remember, but I think after seeing more detailed pics, it was given the thumbsdown
                  where is it now?
                  regards

                    Yep, same piece...

And indeed it was given the thumbsdown ...

Very weird how things keep popping up.

                      Hello

I think this is the one in this thread:

                      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=195356&page=2

I had this one in my hand but I returned to the seller as there were to many question marks over it.

                      Regards
                      David

                        Hi guys

Thanks for the safe advice, this spange looks exactly like the piece offered on Speedbid, perhaps the seller is trying to get rid of a dodgy fake from his collection.I'm so glad I showed it on here before shelling out hard earned cash on it!.

                        Thanks again!!
