    New addition

I would like to share a recent addition to my collection... a bronze without swords Spanish cross. This Detlev Neimann’s sold example was a trade item acquired from Frank Mills, fellow forum member. Now I need but to find a original case for it.
As many of you know Frank has a very nice and beautifully displayed tropical collection, I was able to add a mint Luftwaffe tropical overseas hat to his discipline and passion.
We spent a complete day going through my collection and topped it off with some of my wife’s wonderful cooking.
All in all a great day for me.

Knowing how to cook for yourself is good, but isn`t it better to use a wife for that?
I am tired of Spaghetti and frozen pizza .

                    hello!
                    About the numbers...
I have seen one of thoose and the one i saw was not marked as thine here with a serialnr.
But on the right wing it was stamped "938" (i guess for the silvercore) and on the left wing the manufactures mark, who was "J.GODET / u. SOHN / BERLIN

but there were probably many more variations even here

                    Regards Aska

I thought the eagles were soldered on seperately to all Spanish crosses. This one appears to be all one piece, were some one piece crosses made? The pin isn't like others I've seen either.

I'm only trying to learn and I'm not being disrespectful, but I've never seen one like this before. If Frank got it from Detlev then it is most likely OK, but it's a new one for me.

                        Mott

                        Hi Mott,
No offense taken at all. Bringing up points and observations is to the benifit of us all. When Frank traded this badge with me he also presented the original "Detlev" Guarantee of authenticity, complete with photo's.
So I think I speak for both of us that we feel pretty good about the badge.
Again no problem with the observations, I want to hear from everybody. Thanks for taking the time to interact!
                        Kind Regards,
                        Robert

                          Dear Gary,

This type of Spanish cross with eagles being an actual part of the cross body is absolutely ok. Quite some members here own one of this type, me included. The serial number was IMO not imprinted by the factory, more like a recipiant thing. Could be anything from his party number to.....you name it.

                          Cheers, Frank

                            Reverse.

Btw, Aska, that cross you describe has to be a fake, there is no original Spanish Cross with that maker mark setup you describe.
                            Cheers, Frank
