As I recall, Adrian Forman sold that General's original oaks/swords in the 1980s.

Those pictured here are not the same.

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

IMO absolutely FAKE. There are a lot of offers at EBAY like Swords, Oaks etc with faked proviency and a native story f.e. "got this piece from the widdow of General XXX ...". My good advice: Don´t use your illusions and see at the good books of Gorden and Stephen before you´ll give your bid for a pice of "S".

I sent the seller an email to "wind' him up...Asking about why the price was so low and whether he has bullet proof provenance..

                Anyhow the answer was this:

"Nein, habe ich nicht. Es gibt ja keinen gerichtlich anerkannten Sachverständiger mehr???!!! Klietmann ist leider verstoreben und Nimmergut macht keine Expertisen mehr. Niemann....na ja, sehr zweifelhaft wie ich finde...."

No I dont. Talking about that there are no more Assessor in Germany, Klietmann died, Nimmergut does not do any more and Niemann...very doubtful person..

It is clearly not a pre 1945 piece.

                    -

Just a piece of cheap junk! Wasn´t there a L/58-marked set for sale in Norway not so long ago?
