KVK 2 w/o Swords quality question

I have got this KVK2 and have no real issues with it, other than that the loop on the top of the cross appears to have not been cleaned after drilling the hole through it?? Should I be worried about this cross now or would this just indicate some late war issue when they no longer had the time or resources to finish everything properly or something else??? Cheers, Torsten.

Its certainly not normal to have this kind of poor finish on the ring...is there anything I should be worried about with this cross because of that poor finish?? Cheers, Torsten.

Hi Robin, I did not really think so...but I was just getting a little fickle about it, because no-one seemed to want to say anything about it and I thought that maybe no-one wanted to be the first to break the bad news to me.... neah...I don't think so...judging by the quick shot 'its a fake' replies in other threads I don't think there are many shy people here and that is a good thing of course... so, I'll just put this one down to sloppy quality control then? Cheers, Torsten.

              Hi Torsten,

I agree with Robin that this one is OK. I haven't seen one quite that bad before, but I have seen poor finishing on the ring mounts of the cast types like this.

              Best,
              Greg

Hi Greg, I have not seen one as bad as this either...right now I have ten KVK2 w/o swords and none of the others looks like this one, which is why I thought I'd show it...it evidently is not the normal quality you get on those...Cheers, Torsten.

Hi guys just looking through old thread and thought I would bring this one back up, lately I have been looking at various KVK 2nd class early and late and have noticed what looks like file marks on the seams of a few. My question is was this a common finishing practice with these? Regards
