    Euit for Grosskreuz --> Fake?

    Hi there,

    I am absolutely no Iron Cross expert, but I came accross the following item while searching for Me 262 items:

    http://cgi.ebay.de/Etui-zum-GROSSKRE...QQcmdZViewItem

    I guess it is fake but I am sure there are people in this forum that might be interested to see it.

    Regards
    Roger

    This pic show's the case for that Gross Kreuz from Göring.
    Do you really think they made a box for the medal like this one ?
    I do not know .
    But I really dont think so .
    Enjoy the box , this is a pic from Dietrich Maerz .Posted on the forum a time ago.
    I made a copy on my hard drive , and use it somethimes as background

        Welcome to this forum Roger!

        Still llooking for Me262 parts? That makes 2 of us.

        About the case, the etui maybe for a museum-copy or a showcase but I wouldn't touch such an item if it doesn't have a rock-solid provenance.

          ...The picture you refer to is NOT the case for the Grand Cross from Göring but for his document fot the Grand Cross. The Grand Cross it self was given in a red leather box twice the size if a RK box, but with a golden eagle on the lid.
