Here are mine that I believe are original wartime crosses.
Left is non- magnetic. Right is magnetic.

The date looks like to the Luud's crosses and in the article of the Schinckelform in (http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/iron...roncross_2.htm) you can see two of the different date styles found on the Schinckelform.

But If you are referring to he dents on that cross,
It has been crushed with the ring against it.
The story is that the recipient had the cross with him in his pockets.
But the provenance is not solid proof, it's just told to me.
At the back site there are the same dents at the same place.
