    i want to clean the cross on this thread

    why clean it,it looks fantastic as it is.imo you are cleaning all the history off this fine cross.at the end of the day it is yours to do as wish with but i never clean any of my crosses as i believe they look far better as they are found.

      thanks for the input john. deep down dnt want to clean it either but i was just wondering what would be the best way to go about it. i agree with you about cleaning the history away from it

            Jonathan,

            There are plenty of minty ones out there to find. The salty ones or crosses with 60+ years of patina should stay the way they are imho. Beautiful cross by the way and I wish you the best of luck in your collecting.
