    Cossack Crosses?

Hallo...I am new to posting on this forum. I enjoy reading everyone's opinions and appreciate any help you may give me on these 3 medals.
I have never seen anything like them and look forward to receiving anyone's help. I have more pics if needed. Danke, Norbert

      Cossack Crosses ?

Hallo Ade, Thanks so much for your reply and help. I had never seen anything like these before and the odd colors and similarity in construction had me wondering what they could be. They are all screw backs and all marked "Wolfshanze" on back.
So have you seen other fakes like these before?
I cant help but wonder why someone would go to all the trouble to repro something that never existed, but of course you see it in other items too.
That statement is in no way questioning your word or knowledge on it and I do trust your opinion, just seems like such a waste of time.
Someone (that is not a collector or has any interest in WW2 items)brought them to me wanting to sell them and I didnt even want to offer them anything until I knew more...Danke ! Norbert

Hi Norbert, I am pleased to be able to help.

Sadly I have seen these crosses before and a host of other similar items. Some feature on the forum. A search might bring up some old threads?

These items were made for the tourist trade after the fall of the Iron Curtain. Skilled labour and materials were cheap and available and the lure of £/$/DM and now the Euro, made these a viable product. They can still be found in the Warsaw flea markets.

        Cheers, Ade.
