I'd say the "1939" and the "L/52" look odd, as well as the reverse. Straight on pix of the front would be helpful, but this is an odd looking cross.

This is by no means an original L/52 EK1 !

            hallo Stefan,

It is truely an interesting example but... I would not agree with Your statement easily.

My reasons: visit the examples of the L/52 (second row first on the left side, double marked pin) This cross looks similar to it. and by all means.. it would appear to be a genuine item.

By the way the better pictures would be nice to solve this questionable issue.

Sure just go to the WAF main page go to IC I class at check L/52 the second row, first example from the left (CASED one). Just have a look and Your concerns shall vanish.

                  here we go...

I actually looked at all 5 of the crosses pictured, and my concerns didn't "vanish". I'm not saying Jay's cross is bad, but I'm still not convinced it's what it should be.

                      best,

                        Hallo Hank,

I see A LOT of similarities to the double marked cross presented there. A LOT. Nevertheless it would be great if the better pictures were available for certain judgement. It is pretty hard to say something definite according to what we have seen (poor pictures). I only assume (according to what I can make it from the porr pictures) that the item presented is an original cross. I only assume it. I do hope I am not wrong on this one.

Hank, even You admitted You can't definitely say if it is ok or not.
