Moderator help please

Sup guys , here`s whats up.
In July i bought an EKI mm4 which at the time was one of my first EK1`s , i had it in my collection until recently when i sold it to another member on this forum . Yesterday i mailed the buyer to ask if he had it yet and today i got a reply.

Yesterday I recieved the cross well packed and in good shape.

I am sorry to say that after holding the badge and noticing the finish and details up close, I don't feel well about it as I am not 100% certain of it's pre 1945 manufacture.

Therefore I have packed it and will be sending the cross back to you tomorrow.

After 'bumping my nose' in earlier days too many times, I am much more carefull with TR items and only want to be fully satisfied when it comes to such amounts of money. I hope you understand.

After recieving the cross please return the payment I made, minus the cost of registered shipping back to me at:"

I will obviously adhere to the rules and give him a full refund but i wish to know where i would stand on this matter. I have lost the original thread and all the details i have is his email address from the paypal receipt .
Is it possible for someone to give me his WAF username if i sent them his email address . I dont want to mail him directly until i know where i stand.
How can i have this piece authenticated for a future sale ?

Hi Mark, that's a tough one. Is he a member of WAF? He should have posted pics here for opinions before shipping it back. Do you still have photos? If no to both above, when it arrives post them here.

Well - according to the rules that you have no doubt read, a seller is obliged to give a refund for any reason within 7 days, whatever reason he gives.

a) Returns must be allowed by the seller for any reason for a period of 7 seven days from when the items arrives.

From what you have said I'd send him the refund less postage and then post the cross here for authentification. If it gets the stick it back up for sale.

Hi Mark, looks like both of you are going about this correctly.

I trust this was on E Stand transaction? If so, it is possible for the moderator of that section of the E Stand to resurrect the original sales thread.

Thanks Adrian , im 99% certain it was an estand thread , it is not here anymore as i have looked but i have a transaction date from my paypal , this would probably help eh...

Hi Mark, yes it might.

When an item is marked "Sold" on the Estand the moderator concerned will "soft delete" the sales thread. You or anyone else won't be able to see it but the mod will Try and recall which section it was possibly sold in and drop the moderator concerned a PM mentioning the date the sale went through.

with out a doubt refund his money, but I would not refund any postage.
If you deal with me, you buy something and do not want it, I will gladly refund your money, but not your postage.
I do not think anyone will refund postage.......that is stupid.
If this is going to stop anyone from buying from me so be it. I do not know anyone that would refund the postage, or the fees,

Yeh mate thats the thread which i sold the item . Is it possible to find the old thread when i bought it in july , i have a rough date to within 2 days , i also have the sellers email address.
