Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

I gotta take one more pic after this one! His name is on the bottom, I'll run that across the scanner. I'll try and add a pic of the grouping later. LW pilot, killed in 1940. Unfortunately, nothing else in the way of military stuff. HIs DAF book, Arbeitsbuch, Ausbildungsbrief, and a few photos are there. Also, a small pocket diary up to his death. A quick glance through it revealed he had at least 31 Feindflüge.

              best for now,
              Hank

I can only comment on the EK1.
And that is a very beauty early Maybauer.

Personally my favorite maker together with Deschler.
And the cross is in the condition I prefer to see EK's.

                Regards,
                Luud

Here's the shot of the bottom of the carton. Quick research has found out herr Quante was a Bordfunker on a Ju-87. Died Aug 8, 1940. Bottom of the carton reads Uffz Quante, Ohne Urkunde.
