    Original Jena-Lobstedt EKII?

I don't even know where I picked this up, but it's a "5" marked EKII which I don't believe are common. Is this one of the medium grade fakes floating around? If you know, please sound off - thanks! s/f Robert

Looks very much like it could be a Floch fake....

How does it compare, in hand, to this one?

From the pictures you presented, I'd say mine's identical. Guess that clinches it - thanks for the help. Into the mistake drawer! s/f Robert

                  Hi Robert:
IMO it looks the same ,close beading next to swaz, tops on the ones and button at the curve of 3. along with overall beading. As I don't have one and there isn't one posted on the Iron Cross site I could only compare to George's pic a definate match sorry if you got a different message.

                    Robert,

Here's an idea: if your camera like mine won't zoom in so well for close up's (i.e you maker mark) use a looking glass or the likes in addition to try and get a close up pic. I use a very old one under my limited zoom to take close up's

It's a bit Heath Robinson bit it works

Marcus, great suggestion and I'll certainly give it a go tonight. George, is the cross you presented a bad one?

Rick, are you saying this cross is original? s/f Robert

Yes, it's a fake attributed to Johannes Floch. The ring was marked "49."
