Another common mistake for beginners (and for seasoned collectors sometimes, in fact) -- in a general sense, not just with EKs -- is to be in too much of a hurry to acquire items. This can lead to the purchase of many bad or poor quality pieces. If I had one bit of advice to give collectors, it would be, "Slow down. Study. Don't worry about missing a certain piece. There will always be nice things to get. Take your time in collecting and you will end up with a superb collection."

I agree.

Another important maxim: Collect what you like and like what you collect.

- When item is worn and rust it must be genuine (Even ground dugs are faked!)

- When it is in unissued condition it must be fake. (In mint condition it is rare! or found in "Russian horde" kind of lot)

*"Russian horde" is bunch of EK1's marked "26" found in unissued condition and spread to market several years ago.

"Repo" is short for Repossess; that's something that happens when you don't pay your car note on time.

"Repro" is short for Reproduction;that's something you get if you don't do your homework.

"Repop" isn't short for anything; it's what you get when you try to replace the cap on a stale bottle of Coke.
