On first sight, I would say the WWII Iron Cross has been replaced by a WWI Iron Cross.
And it is fetching more money than that I would spend on it.

But maybe I see things wrong and there is some more happening....

duh... i didnt realise we were looking for something that obvious (no offense!)

there I was scrutinising the pictures indepth looking for some sign or signal that complex trickery was afoot
