Hello,

this Knight cross was offered to me, what are your opinions for this piece? Looks like a Junkers in my eyes, but i do have my doubts with it. Maybe an early fake?

IMO fake too. We have seen better copies here already...

That is a fake. Frame, dipping ring, patina, loop...It does not look good. Stay away from it.

Steven...while your participation and excitement is welcomed in threads about Knight's Crosses it may be wise to limit your commentary to areas that you know. This may help other beginner collectors and there's nothing wrong with a 'I don't know'!

This reproduction has been around for at least 20 years and OFTEN mistaken for Juncker. It has a very prominent swaz. and is heavy compared to other fakes. Years ago collectors associated a heavy Cross with a high swaz w/ Juncker thus the mistake.
