Schinkel iron cross 1st class

Hi all

Recently came across this shinkel pattern iron cross 1st class for sale along with some war badges I've also listed on here.I do'nt like the look
of the 1939,but I could be wrong,as these where jeweller made pieces.
Any input on this cross(good or bad) would be helpful.

Sorry, but this is a well-known copy which already fooled a lot of people.

The biggest give-away is the width of the frame on the horizontal arms.
(bottom part that is)

Hi,

Ben's already chimed in re the beading/flange "misalignment", but the other giveaway is the style of hinge and pin - a fair attempt at reproducing the folded-over hinge from some genuine Schinkels and Round 3 EK1s. Add the fresh looking rust, and you can send it back to Latvia or thereabouts.

the 1939 doesn't really look bad compared to original schinkels, actually.

The rim and needle/ hinge are the biggest give-away.
